Wreck of the Daign, Salinas, Ecuador

laheist

Long exposure. Water and photographers are like kids and candy, as they say.

I love pictures of ship wrecks. Very nice. I never got to the coast when I was in Ecuador unfortunately, but when I go back one day I'll be sure to try to find this.

I saw someone else's comment, that the foggy appearance of the sea is due to long exposure of waves. Is it daytime ? How many seconds' exposure ? The ship doesn't seem washed out though ... thanks.

The exposure is during the day, about 10 am as I remember. I shot these on Bulb with various times. As I got more experience I think I overdid it on the fog here and the water would have looked better with shorter exposures, more texture and flow. Anyway, I didn't have much time as two surfers wearing bright orange decided to play by the ship a little after I was shooting. I also only had two days in Salinas, so I didn't have too many choices in how to do it.

I like how the fog looks, maybe a very litle less, but no more. thanks your for share knowledge and ability.

This is one of my PN favorites, probably because the fog looks like a kind of surealistic cloud, maybe because I like wercks (es?)

I reiterate, opportunity!

Sorry for my poor English
