Gold winner of Dunhill photo competition 1994

After leaving the fireworks display with a gut feeling I didnt get

any decent shots I saw this scene and felt there was something there.

Would appreciate any critique

Unique, terrific shot. your explanation of its context helps to appreciate it. the tree in the foreground with the small tree to the right is a very mice juxtaposition.

This is my most favourite ever shot that you have taken. I don't know how to explain it but from the very first time I ever saw it it has left a lasting impression. Definitely more than deserving of the Gold Award. Keep up the good work dad.

Im not sure anything really needs to be done with it in photoshop other than cropping off the black on the left hand side. Nice job.

Beautiful image, but the scan quality leaves a lot to be desired. You need to rescan (preferably from the original negative or slide) and properly set the black point and contrast. Also crop off the edge of the print.
