Ford,

I too like to low to the ground POV and also wish I could view it larger. It looks as if it has a great deal of detail in both the insect and the foreground.

I know you call it "Big ears," but they also look like Antlers to me. Very interesting and very nice Macro.

 Yes, it was toss up with the antler thing. But I always think function should take precedence over appearance. (Can't help it - I'm a scientist.)

 In the happy situations where appearance and function compliment one another - then you are blessed with elegance.

What an absolutely fascinating image. Very compelling; it feels like an unworldly monster from another planet.  As I am totally unfamiliar with this insect I'm going to have to assume it is in some part of the world that I am quite unfamiliar. I suspect I need to look through more of your images! Nice work.
