stefan1 0 Posted July 22, 2003 I thought the two eyes were in the same plane (normal to my lens), but seeing the result I suppose that was not the case. Is that nose- like enough to make you make some associations? Link to comment
jeff d 1 Posted July 22, 2003 Fascinating... odd... made me look at your explanation. Good image. Not the typical macro stuff. Link to comment
stefan1 0 Posted July 22, 2003 I should clarify that these marking aren't really eyes (or at least I don't think so!). The full frame is attached, it is really the side of this tomato-plant eating thing. Link to comment
kaphn8d 0 Posted July 23, 2003 this is truly a fascinating macro (crop)... great job... very interesting!! Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted July 23, 2003 You have exceeded the supposed macro performance of the G3! The caterpillar markings are very captivating and it actually is the 'unusual' spacing between the 'eyes' that made me stop and look longer than is usally the case... Very much appreciate you sharing this image with us. Link to comment
stefan1 0 Posted July 23, 2003 The macro technique is that described in Mark Plonsky's tutorial on the subject. It is cheap too if you happen to have a 50 mm normal lens lying around. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 23, 2003 Very interesting macro shot: good colors, sharpness, and creativity. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,673 Posted July 24, 2003 Really an interesting macro shot. Very cretive & a good sharp photo to boot. Link to comment
robin2 0 Posted July 24, 2003 Gorgeous shot. Sharp as a tack! And there's some humour in it too - love it. Link to comment
t._n._williams 0 Posted July 29, 2003 it is creepy, to me, but i also think it is a good shot. Link to comment
tom t 0 Posted August 3, 2003 Great shot indeed. And a good original crop of the subjest - it certainly looks like eyes! Kudos! Link to comment
matt_t1 0 Posted March 13, 2004 Love it. Reminds me of those "what is it" puzzles in kids books. BTW- those "eye's" aer supposed to look like eyes. To scare off predators. (For those who didn't know that :) Link to comment
