My guess is that Pierre meant that he would have moved the camera a bit backwards so there would be more "air" below the lower two leafs.

I agree in that, and maybe I would have taken the picture in portrait format (turn the camera 90 degrees). I think portrait format would have worked better together with this motive. This is however much a matter of taste, so I can only suggest that you experiment with these things to find out what you think gives the best result. You have a nice and simple motive there for experimenting with both perspective and lighting.


The lighting and contrast on the leafs is good, showing the texture of the leafs very well.
