I really like the composition. The simple red and black colors setting the head off is quite dramatic.

A very handsome horse and the red is an attention grabber.  I've attached a very quickly done re-crop, not to say it's any better, just a suggestion. The idea being that it gives more space in the horse's visual direction.  Regardless, a nice portrait... Mike

This is excellent stuff, I really like the idea with a simple and concise composition but I perhaps agree with Mike crop, reducing a little a bit of the very strong red for balance.  Still you have a good eye for interesting subject.  Best wishes,

I have to say your crop realy worlks, Mike. Thank you for going to all that trouble. Very smoothly done. My photoshop skills are pretty much non-existent. I  prefer it to the original.
