What a 'proud and colourful' fellow this Pheasant is. His posture, is almost regal, and those black and orange feathers coming down from his head are just like a 'headress'. Pharoah, was a well chosen name for this breed. Lovely capture!

Let's get the negative out of the way......... the presentation is really un-appealing...... and the quality of the image demands a re-think here (smiles).

The larger view here is magical, right down to the attempted courtsey?.

The overcast lighting has really brought out the richness of the plumage and allowed you to  strongly capture both colour and clarity. The sharpness of that eye!!.

All the accolades here young lady............ just re-think that setting (if at all possible).

Fond regards

Hi Grayham

Thanks for the kind words, however, the setting was unavoidable, he was in a cage!

Regards Louise
