eisbaer_. 0 Posted July 6, 2001 This is a good photo from a technical perspective and the composition in terms of placement of the people is wonderful. Now I try to say this in the nicest possible way and with good intention: the fact that all you have is the backs of people really ruins this photo for me. Next time go around to the front and get their faces. Faces say so much more about people. This is only my opinion and I like your photo, it's just that I think by taking their backs instead of walking to the front and take their faces has turned this image from a superb shot to one that you're not going to look at again in five year's time. The good news is that my wife loves this photo and thinks that the backs of people look good. So I may be full of it, but at least I try to offer an honest opinion... different folks, different strokes Link to comment
alex_hawley 0 Posted July 7, 2001 This works for me but perhaps including a little more symbolism would help. The vet with the Vietnam jacket is part of that symbolism and is self-explanatory. Maybe if he were standing next to a fellow who was obviously from WWII. Link to comment
