Spitfires at sunset

Spitfire at sunset. Nikon D1 80-200 2.8

I like it, seeing your photo makes me want to shield my eyes from the sun... The spitfires are good, but it would be better if you zoomed in on them a bit. I hope to get some photos of the Navy's Blue Angels as they will be flying in town next week. -David, Shutterline.com

One of the things that is distinctively beautiful about spitfires is the graceful curve of the wing. It's a shame you couln't get a somehat more vertical angle to silhouette that wing shape, but I suppose in doing that you would have had to sacrifice the dramatic sun. Tradeoffs.

I can hear those wonderful engines singing while squinting the eyes. Bad place to find two Spits if you were in a Messerschmidt. Good Job. A 10 and a 6! Tally Ho!
