Hoodoos of Bryce

A landscape that often had my mouth dropping although I didn't end up with

so many photos that went beyond the expected. There was an intensity

and variety to this one that I liked.

I would normally want to see a zoomed-in and more detailed shot of this.  But you've managed remarkable detail in your wide expansive shot that it just fantastic.  I love the various colors at play and the bigger peaks receding to the smaller peaks in the background.  The one thing I'm not convinced about is whether the sky should be included at all.  Have you tried it without?  I don't have time to play with it right now, and I'm not even sure about my own suggestion.  Bravo on a great shot!

Nice shot with even lighting. I thought that zooming in a little more would show more detail in the rock formation which might make the picture more interesting. A great capture still.

I wasn't able to find a cropping of the sky that  didn't also butcher the background ridge line. It is clearly a problem . I think a neutral grad might have helped but I didn't have one in my bag. 

As to zoom in, I'll post two different zooms in the same proximity- Hoodoos II and Hoodoos III; yes a very different feel.
