What I am puzzled about is why you use a horizontal format and cut off the top of her head, also leaving that unproductive black left side of the picture.Jerry Link to comment

You already gave me the answer: "The sparkle of the model's eyes are magnificent". Not only because she has beautiful eyes. But also the position of her eyes in the photo. I made use of the rule of thirds. Her left eye (=also focuspoint) lies on the rule of thirds. To photograph great portrait, always take note of the level of subject’s eyes contribute to the essence of the composition. The closer the portrait is, the more important the level of subject’s eyes is. Jan Link to comment
