avoid the 90's backward vignetting - try to draw attention to the subject with composition instead.

John, this is excellent.  The feathered vignette pulls the eye to the model and is quite effective.  Beautiful lady, too.

I'm not sure of the comment about the "backward vignetting 90s."  I started doing this kind of vignetting in the 50s and it can be very effective.  Perhaps the only thing that spoils this picture is that a human figure in in the vignette behind the subject's neck.  Some creative post processing could take care of that.

Thanks Jerry for your appreciating comments.My guess the difference is white versas black vignette. (white as being backward) Sometimes correcting backgrounds if not done right  can make the picture worse but I see your point. John
