Pierre Dumas 278 Posted August 8, 2013 Welcome Beri, thank you for your explanation, but I must say that there is no Dali's influence on me simply because I haven't seen anything of his works! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted February 6, 2014 Glad you like it, Olaf! It was a lot of work applied to erase all cables and poles! PDE Link to comment
aplumpton 16 Posted February 3, 2015 Pierre, this is an amazing image. It speaks of the resourcefulness of the constructors, of the nature of city, urban densities and co-habitation of an area, even though it may be a scene in a small village. The interacting buildings seem to be alive, in part due to your well chosen p.o.v. and compositiion, but also to your accentuation of the warm tones and colors. The image is not static, it moves in one's mind. Congratulations! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted February 3, 2015 Well said, Arthur! You may not have a clue how exactly you described the background of this picture, I mean social and historical background! It's genuinely Turkish architecture in Macedonia which once was a part of the Ottoman empire! I don't only know how you guessed about the co-habitation! Presumably you recognized the Turkish style and know about the history of the Ottoman empire! Thank you very much for your visit and this unique comment! Cheers PDE Link to comment
jeffwatts 0 Posted June 10, 2015 Pierre - a great image and one of my favorites of yours. The viewer cannot help but be drawn in and feel like they are part of the scene walking past these interesting houses. Congrats on a great image! Jeff Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 278 Posted June 11, 2015 Welcome and thank you, Jeff! I must tell you: many wires and cables I had to remove from the original, furthermore I had to insert some colorful sky in the place of the white one! Cheers PDE Link to comment
