peter_daalder 0 Posted July 20, 2003 Interesting self-portrait (much better than my current version on my CM page).I wonder why you opted for this original(?) version, rather than converting this to mono... I think this is interesting enough to stop and examine. There really is not that much colour in this image. Is this a shot out of your archives? Link to comment
tom t 0 Posted July 23, 2003 This is cool! I like it! Would look great in B/W too I think. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted February 3, 2006 As you've mentioned, it's indeed 7.5x... and I thought I had something smart to write before I started scrolling this down...first source of disappointment. Second source of disappointment is that I was often pleasing my ego with one of the most original self-portraits on PN, as from my bio picture... As for the picture, it does not disappoint me at all: it is witty, as one would expect from you! Why did you chose to include the far L and far R stretches of mirror rather than cutting at the actual frames? Link to comment
root 0 Posted February 3, 2006 The portions on the side of the frame were meant to match the top, especially at the corners. I suppose you crop all four sides, but I actually liked the opposing curves. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted February 4, 2006 I see your point. I removed the sides and the top looks orphan. I took that out as well, and the bottom was unbalancing the whole shot. I took also the bottom away, and there were just lots of Carls around. Link to comment
