Good portrait shot, with a very natural expression. I know that shallow DOF is 'in', but I think you could have sot at f2.8 instead of 1.6 and still gotten good blur, but had a little deeper focus on the face.

I must admit that I had no idea that low f-stops were 'in' and that certainly didn't influence my thinking in taking this picture!
