Several hundred White Pelicans were still at the Oxbow Lake of the

Lewis & Clark State Park today and I had a good number of "keepers"

of which this is one.

Instead of using the Center Weighted metering, I used the Spot

metering mode to see if it would handle the whites a bit better. It

appears that it may have been a worthy effort in addition to the excellent

light I had for a couple of hours early Sunday morning.

I am really not sure of the download. I normally use the "Multiple Photo

Uploader," however, the new uploader does not function for me. So, this

was uploaded with the "Basic Single Uploader" which historically has

shown some minor problems in the past.

Thanks for taking the time to view, comment/critique, rate and, for

allowing me the opportunity to share!

Thanks always,

Jim j.

Bill,

Boy are you quick, . . . barely got it downloaded and had immediately went back to my Workplace to submit for ratings also, and there was your comment already! Thanks!

It was a very successful day and I have many more to work-up it appears (fingers crossed).

Only two very shy Bald Eagles observed today so I concentrated on the Pelicans for most of the day. With several hundred still around, I thought I should take advantage of their passing through on the migration journey.

Wish you were here Bill, . . .

Great timing Jim, just as it contacted you captured, and what clarity in the image! Regards. Bob

Garry,   Apparently I missed your visit back in October, . . . my apologies!

Bob,  These American White Pelicans have become one of those birds that although often seen for me, you just can't help taking their photograph! This one from up in the Lewis & Clark State Park Lake in Northwest Missouri had been my favorite until I got this one in Oklahoma along the Grand River.

Many thanks for your visits and encouraging comments!

Cheers,

Jim j.
