Splash of sunrise

In the world of digital, I'm having fun with 120. This photo was

taken in Eldorado State Park, just outside Boulder, CO. The water

is from a "tube" that drains from upstream somewhere. Photo was

taken in early morning, looking East.

 

The film was scanned on "auto" using an Epson 2450. No

manipulation. Pentax 645, hand-held, Fuji Provia 100F film.

Good photo, with interesting content. The water and sky look perfect, with the sun lighting it well. I think the black hills around the sides may be unavoidable but still do distract. Since this is a one im a million shot, a moment shot, u cant help this.

Refreshingly original sunrise photo. The only thing I'd change would be slightly longer or shorter exposure; I think I would like it more with a little more motion blur or alternatively with completely 'frozen' water even at the bottom. But this is of course quite subjective. All in all, I like this quite a lot.
