Alaska: Denali NP: Polychrome Pass: Dall Sheep

Here is what's behind the ram(s). I don't know the name of the peak. That's a hanging glacier in the cirque in the background.

I guess Terry may have been leaning toward what I was thinking. Some contrast adjustments and maybe even some sharpening, would improve on this great scene.

Photoshot curves!?! IMO!?! Translation please.

I did make a mistake here in metering off the foreground instead of the sky and that's why the background is a bit faint. This image has about six masked adjustment layers on it already to get this far so I guess I'll have to look at again. I mostly posted it to show the surroundings. I have a couple of more similar shots I may pick through to substitute for this one later.

Just shoo off the lions, and the antelopes will be happy.

Funny how just the slightest change will spoil an illusion. Here, the ram does not seem to be leaping at all.

That's a wonderful background, even with the sky a little washed out.

Fred, here's your chance to try your stitching skills. I'd love to see this picture combined with the previous one.

I like this composition just the way it is. It looks like the bighorn was laying there posing for you.

Other than the nice foreground and lovely background, this one is just terrible.

I think Terry was trying to say that he wanted a saturated background. It's sacreligous to some people to leave a natural looking background. Just tell him that the Velvia setting on your digicam wasn't working that day.
