Looks as if the Pelican Migration is in full swing here along the Kansas-

Missouri border. While scouting for Bald Eagles in one of my favorite

locations along the Lewis & Clark Trail, the lake only produced a few

Canadian Geese, one Bald Eagle (too far away), and a couple thousand

of the White Pelicans.

Thanks for taking the time to view, comment/critique, rate and, for

allowing me the opportunity to share!

Thanks again,

Jim j.

Jim.

Great shot.  I can't imagine seeing thousands of American White Pelicans in one location.  The most I have counted is approximately 100 in Dallas.

Thanks Bill,

Had it not been for your shots from White Rock Lake last year, and the few shots I got of them in Oklahoma about the same time, I probably would not have had the interest to pursue the American White Pelican further!

It was quite a sight!

Now, I wish I had taken some larger group shots! Here's one from an earlier trip to the same location.

Thanks again Bill, and I hope you enjoy the email I sent you!

Regards always,

Jim j.

It is a very unique shot! Perfectly composed.

So typical scene but not very typical subject for the picture. Nice to see it.

Very beautiful capture of pelicans in flight. We get canadian geese here but they don't have the majestic look as these. Nice lighting and details.

Best wishes... Sandeep
