human images 4 Posted October 5, 2012 a terrific portrait Drew (really among the better of late) layered with a poetic tone that works beautifully on the attractive self-possessed face---an English face you chose to frame with the eccentric authority of all that background space, a soft suggestion of geometry that works, that brings it all together for the viewer, that connects with the viewer. donna pallotta 108 Posted October 5, 2012 excellent treatment, Drew... like 19th, early 20th century English.. could be Oscar Wilde, could be DH Lawrence... laden with art and atmosphere ;-} dp Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted October 5, 2012 Wow! What a wonderful portrait! I Love it! I was just working on some cat portraits last night in which I gave a similar look... maybe soon I'll upload (download...whatever the proper term is) them. I love different and interesting portraits that reveal personality and engage one's mind to stay awhile... this one has that for me. Great job and it's going to my faves. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment

3m 0 Posted October 27, 2012 How expressive indeed... I love your rendering of this; the 'daring' composition is great. I like the way you connect here, Drew.... ( & I get a 'Sherlock' feeling for some reason (?) Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 28, 2015 Drew, when you divide faces (like right and left face) , usually is interpreted as a dichotomy between anima and animus of a person;I don't know what you really want to do , but this is what come to me when I see this image;keep going ! Link to comment
