Brassavola tuberculata

This orchid has a lovely fragrance especially at night. It is known for

growing on the rocky slopes of the famous sugar loaf mountain in Rio de

Janeiro (Pão de Açucar) so is a hardy species taking a pounding from hot

rock, seaspray, mist, extended dry spells, downpours of torrential rain, you

name it

A beautiful flower well presented with the dark but not black background. 

I suggest tu turn the photo just a little bit in clockwise direction to get a feeling of better balance.
