Shutter priority 1/1000 - Lens at 300 mm. Printed in Agfa paper - dimensions: 15 x 20 cm. Scanned at 300 dpi in a KYE-Genius HR2 scanner and Corel Photopaint. White and black points changed and unsharp filter used with GIMP. Downsampled to match photo.net rules with GIMP.

Excellent - I just had to stop and take a good look at this picture. I like it all the more because I can't see the surfer's face. It's his body language the tells the whole story, and his arm and legs are so sharp! Colorwise, the contrast is just beautiful. What else? Well, it has motion and drama. Bravo!

These are the photo's the neswpapers (or magazines) love! A different vieuw of surfing in high waves.Did you take it from the beach or isn't that possible...? Great job...

This would have been really sick if the tube in front of him was open instead of closing down. It would given a feeling of him being able to make the barrel. As it is now it says "shutdown, better luck next time".
