jim schwaiger 0 Posted July 16, 2003 Well, I could have moved a bit to eliminate the truck, but I would have missed the girl doing a handstand. Link to comment
fred_j._lord 0 Posted July 17, 2003 The balloon is just about right exposure wise. Getting the rest of it in range would mean a lot of work and not much more in the way of impact or information. Aren't these events interesting. There's so much going on. You've shown lots of nice balloon activity images, Jim. We're planning on doing the Albuquerque Balloon Festival in October, Jim. You should come to that one too. Link to comment
michael_ward1 0 Posted July 19, 2003 I had to wait to see this on my Mac, because I couldn't see the handstand on the newly-changed-from-win2k-to-xp-yechh system. It would be an incredible photo without that truck there. Maybe it could be burnt enough to get it not so domineering? Link to comment
fred_j._lord 0 Posted July 20, 2003 As I'm finding out, the trucks are ubiquitous to balloon launchings. They not only transport all the heavens-bound balloonists and their massive equipment loads but they also serve as stable anchors for the rising spheres. The balloonist don't care because they're going up and away from the truck as soon as they can. So, the lowly photographic recordist is stuck with them in close proximity to every launching. Just wait until they take off and take the pix then. That's all there is to it. Link to comment
