sherrybell 0 Posted September 7, 2012 All most missed this shot. I was set up taking some shots as storm clouds moved in. At one point could not see the mountains in distance as clouds and rain closed in. I left the scene due to heavy rain and was driving away when I said I need to go back and wait for the storm to pass. I hoped it would pass soon as the sun would soon be down. With in about 15 minutes the rain stopped and I walked back down the river and set up. I started to take shots as the clouds started to clear and then suddenly a little bit of a rainbow appeared and within minutes the rainbow completed. Thank you in advance for your time and thoughts. lonebearimages 0 Posted September 7, 2012 This is simply gorgeous, Sherry! Wonderful composition and perfect exposure. You've really managed to capture some special lighting conditions. This would be a beautiful image without the rainbow, but it really 'kicks it up a notch' with it. Well done! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
ajsanford 0 Posted September 8, 2012 Beautiful! Love the lighting. It added great ambiance to the photo. I like this view of the river. It has a nice curve which leads your eye right to the rainbow. Great shot. Link to comment
daverave 1 Posted September 8, 2012 Everything comes together in this image although I could see cropping the bottom quarter or so (as there's not much there) to focus attention on the elements that really make this photo shine. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 10, 2012 It is good you listened to that 'still, quiet voice withing you Sherry! What a lovely sight. Mohter Nauture seems to be using all the colours in her Paletter as of late, but fortunately for you, she chose her most glorious, probably knowing you were in need of an inspiring image. The Rainbos is like a 'bow' on a present. Lovely in camera and processing. Your skills shine in this composition! Well done!Warm regards, Gail Link to comment

Thank you Robert, wish Hallmark would call. Thank you Christopher, Amanda and Dave for your kind thoughts. Then there is Gail, she has a wonderful gift of expressing feelings and thoughts that tells a wonderful story about the scene. Thank you Grigoriy, it was a lucky moment and I felt like Mother Nature painted it for me. Link to comment

w-j-li 0 Posted November 11, 2012 The light, the rainbow, the warm and stormy clouds, the peaceful lake and the sharp and interesting foreground, all come to a excellent composition. You would never miss it since you put your heart into it. Best Regards, Link to comment
