What I like here is how this bottom tree looks in light and contrast with green shadow from left and right,bark texture and some leaves shadow on it complete this image,this image gives me the sensation of something very well grounded,something steady from a long time.

A compelling example how side light is modelling details. Yet, key element to me is the shadow of the leaves - which is a wonderful (light and ephemeral) counterpart to the "steadfast" trunk of the tree.

Wolfgang, thanks for the comment.  Those shadows were important to me as well, and I have a couple of other photos of different trees that were shot for the same reason:  isolating light with shadows of leaves.
