I also had the feeling that B&W was better and more natural, but I  was looking for somebody else opinion . Thanks all for your opinion (and, of course, no need to be sorry if you dislike any photo of mine, Richard, critique is for that!)

I also prefer the B & W version but this is still an excellent shot. Love the lighting but may have warped the hot spot in the top left out of frame. Love the depth of this shot. Well seen and executed, best wishes William

The composition is great, but perhaps the "boost" was a bit much, especially in the light from the sun.  I think the color has more potential if you back off a bit from the extra saturation and let the colors come through more naturally.  However, I anticipate the light from the sun will be difficult.

Giulio, I think it is better balanced -- all around a better rendition in the blues and the golds.  I can see more detail in the overlapping hills/ridges in front of the tallest mountain, and the sky looks better.  I would try to retain the light and detail you had on the hillsides in the original foreground, though.  This is certainly a beautiful location -- I'd love to be standing here.
