Lucie in Bergamo

I've been experimenting with Nik's HDR Pro Efex and the other programs in

the family. This was created from a single RAW file so it's actually a

pseudo-HDR. Further examples and reviews of the software will appear on

my blog and websites this week.

Very nice silhouette and composition.

To be honest, I'm a bit critical of this image. My intention is to give you some useful feedback.

The first question I had was what is this photo about? I don't really have an answer, except that the evening morning/evening light + silhouette seems to be important in itself.

At first sight, the image looks fine. But looking at the the (natural) lighting, the shadows (for example from the two pillars and gate) don't seem to run parallel. And then I ask myself: why is that?

Mike there's a good reason why the shadows are not parallel. The answer is in the photo ;)

The photo is well done and the software (?) has pulled detail from the shadows.  However, to realize the full intent of your post and have a comparison, it would be nice to see the original... Regardless, a well done shot... Mike
