An effect enhanced by the strict composition within the rule of thirds format which you emphasize so neatly with the greenish horizontal line that separates sky and wheat fields. If i may venture a suggestion, I wonder if the image wouldn't gain from a touch less dramatized sky? Captivating image that made me stop and stare, anyway :-) Link to comment
stp 6 Posted August 12, 2012 The distinct line between the wheat and the dark green background tells much about the origins of this image. You've picked an exceptionally difficult subject to work with in this regard. The light and colors are also presenting a challenge, assuming your goal was a realistic rendition. Link to comment
