This is an interesting image because of the visual content and the emotional content (at least what I read into it).  The two heads have a balance in the composition, as do the large and small pedestals.  The "Oh, so alive" and the "Oh, so dead" provide the emotional balance.  Good tonality, exposure, and use of space.  The branch pointing at her head could be distracting but since it is out of focus it serves as a lead-in line to her face.
