JohnWebster 3 Posted July 31, 2012 I am looking forward to open-minded (3) if it is the unvarnished original! There must be things that you did not like in the original and led you to go "over-the-top" in the blur department. You have a great start with her darling expression and I believe you want the viewer to enjoy it with as little distraction as possible. By posting the original you will not only get my input but, hopefully, from others as well. We all grow visually from those who have more knowledge than we do. Ignore comments that state "good image, I like it" or "I don't like it" but do not give a reason or offer suggestions on how to improve it. Take care and happy posting. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted July 31, 2012 I think the original photograph can tolerate some varnish, but this (IMO) is still way too much. But you seem to have a vision, I have my own preferences, and the two probably will never coincide. I thought the original needed some work around the edges of the frame, but this, IMO, is detracting from the charm of the original. Link to comment
hstelljes 41 Posted August 1, 2012 Hello Janegbert, While technically the other posters maybe correct, I'm not sure though, There is something very angelic and likeable about this image. Her expression is very charming and that you have captured well. I suppose my only real critique is the amount of blurring, maybe imposing too much. Regardless I like the image. Take care.BR,Holger Link to comment
schouwman 0 Posted August 1, 2012 John Stephen Holher,Thanks for your fair comment, but photography is a subjective activity.I wanted to face better justice to,hence the blurred black and white. How far the blurring must continal that will always remain a dicussion point.best regards, Janegbert Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted November 10, 2012 Nice model and excellent image.Irrelevant of what has been said,I suppose that you have also played with different crops before stopping at this;I would think that a square format would have also been good here.....just my 2 cents worth on this good take.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
rshenderson 20 Posted November 12, 2012 Janegbert....I think the main subject of this image has been captured very well. To me the blur accentuates the dream like and angelic look of the girl. Regard. Bob Link to comment
