efusco 1 Posted July 8, 2003 I applaud you for being able to draw so many comments! This is an attention getting image which definately caught my eye or I wouldn't be here commenting. On close inspection, however, I found several elements that bother me a bit and keep it out of the exclusive top ratings. I feel the cutting off of the stems of the flowers is uncomfortable as a viewer. It is a minor line, but it is a leading line that takes you no where. It also appears that the petals are a tad unsharp. It does seem that the horizon is slightly off, though with the mountain I don't find it that noticable or bothersome. I think the exposure is quite good and the compositon good, if not particularly original. Finally, I'm home sick...used to live in Palmer....Nice piece. Link to comment
matthew_jawlik1 0 Posted July 8, 2003 I'm blown away by the sky. We definitely don't get colors like that here in NY. Link to comment
gregp 0 Posted July 9, 2003 A very nice composition. One suggestions: Your horizon seems to be tilting CCW. I would recommend correcting it in a pgoto editing program. Link to comment

gearoid_osullivan 0 Posted July 9, 2003 The colour in the sky is great, and the clouds on the horizon are fantastic. Link to comment
kristian reinau 0 Posted July 9, 2003 A really nice picture - the only problem I see is the horizon placed in the middle of the picture. Anyway thats a minor thing, overall it is a really nice thing! Link to comment

ivophoto 0 Posted July 9, 2003 The horizon is a bit slant, for the rest it is a very beautiful picture Link to comment
elaine_roberts1 0 Posted July 9, 2003 My first thought when I saw the title was, "Oh great, another daisy pic", but this works quite well. I have 14mm envy ;) Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted July 9, 2003 A beautiful composition with many fine touches. The burning in of the clouds as well as the diffusion of the lake and daisy pollen are all smartly executed. I suppose the horizon really should be level, but IMO the slight tilt only adds to the surreal sense of this outstanding image. Link to comment
john_burnham 0 Posted July 10, 2003 beautiful! interesting how that 17-40 looks once the 1.6 goes into effect, specific characteristcs like wide-angle distortion look interesting when 17=26! GREAT SHOT! Link to comment
narendra_morum 0 Posted July 10, 2003 I like how you captured everything from the ground up to the sky with excellent depth of focus. Link to comment
nancy_zhang1 0 Posted July 10, 2003 beautiful! I love the clean colors. I wonder how this picture would look if more if the stem was shown though. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted July 10, 2003 Did you shoot this scene from a lower viewpoint, (looking more upward at the flower)? If so, I would like to see it. Regards, Jim. Link to comment
