Eagle of Stone - A Manipulation
On the advisement and guidance of several colleagues I am submitting this as a manipulated architectural photo. The original photo was dark and the sky behind was a dismal gray-white. After scanning I brought the image into PhotoShop and duplicated the layer. I had an old photo of some clouds and stuck it in-between the two layers. I then cut out the bottom level and on the top level I cut out the gray sky. I then auto-leveled the top layer. I increased the saturation on the cloud level. I added a slight black inner glow that helped to hide the clipped edges. I then flattened the image. Duplicated the layer again. Set auto-levels on the top layer and sharpened it. I set the layer transparency to 50% and then flattened the image. Saved it for the web at a level of 75. And there you have it. I really like the way this came out and I would like to thank everyone who suggested using a cloud photo instead of PhotoShop clouds.
