I like this shot as it really depicts the hard conditions on the Lower North Shore starting with the baren environment and rocky ground. The faded paint testifies to the windy conditions of the place.Your capture on this overcast day including the reflection in the calm puddles make for an excellent image.I looked at your other shots of this area and my preference is for the lone shack standing atop that granite mount for its POV and its nice dramatic sky.Bravo for a good series.

I like this shot the best, although the others are good too; here I like the triangular shapes, the HDR work, and the minimal amount of colours, with the white buildings standing out strongly in the image. Très bon travail.  Gillie

Thanks for sharing this place.  I checked on the map and it looks like the road along the northern shore stopped around here.

I'm generally not a fan of HDR, but this one works very well because of the barn boards and such.

Well done!

Yes Jeff, the 138 road stop 40 minutes from there. There is a mythic road sign "end of 138", it is like 1200 km from Montreal. Went to take a picture of it but they are working to move the road farther (with the Inuits claiming to stop). The sign wasent there anymore, but took a picture of 138 end in 18 km" !!!

I have put a facebook page to show some pictures of this "photo-trip" but it is in french. Maybe facebook is doing an autonatic translation. I hope to put a blog with the stories behind the pictures, first in french and then in English.

Not easy to work on that with the kids arround ;)

Tx for your comments and time, I'll check your portfolio later on and try to help back with constructive comments.

cheers,

martin

Well balanced composition, colors and texture and angle of view make this a very beautiful image. Alfredo

This is Super Fine it is! Love the dark ominous sky and the reflections in the water. Nice muted tones that go with the grey day too. Have I mentioned that I like it? I Do!
