Very nice indeed. This combines your new approach, which is much more abstract, with your older visions of nature. The contrast in textures is particularly effective.

Jack! Yours is a perceptive eye. Although I find I´ve done some very good work during the last few years, I have lately come to miss something that was present in my earliest photographs, I think; viz. a certain sensuality, which I´ve tried to return to here, sans the schmaltzy romanticism. It´s all too easy to lose one´s path...

There is a wonderfully quiet, contemplative feel in this image, Bengt! I love the use of B&W and the placement of the reflected clouds behind the reeds.

Yeah, there are a lot of twists and turns in the road and occasionally we can lose the path with heart for a little while.. I'm going through something of the same thing myself which accounts for my recent lack of uploads.

Mark & Mick: thanks! I had the camera so high up I could barely look through, just to get those sunlit clouds and not just the dark reflection of the trees. There´s no colour version, though, the exposure was made on bw material.

Lovely work indeed, Bengt. As mentioned above, the contrast of the upward-pointing reeds against the soft reflections of the water works beautifully. What I like most, though, is the soft evocative evening mood you captured here with your subtle & minimalist approach.

I have been looking at this one few times and am glad to sense some re-focusing back to track - so to say, although you manage to demonstrate your skills again and again. Plese don't take this short note as an wish you should limit your output, rather my soft moment while recalling those gone days here.

Eeek! That must be a spider right there! (No animals were harmed during the capture, I guess)

Rafal, Marjolein, Markku: I appreciate your comments! Not only is this a very simple photograph in terms of elements included, my approach to post-processing was also one of trying to do as little as possible, as you touch upon Marjolein. The photographer fails, in my view, when "style" draws attention to itself. We all go through phases, Markku, and this is me trying to fuse elements of my earlier with my newer approach. Thankfully, the spider was very understanding and stopped whatever he was doing long enough for me to make the exposure. He refused to sign a model release, though...

Very beautiful image; a little nostalgic in feeling. I particularly like the reflections of the trees and clouds on the water. It looks like fish were jumping by the look of the rings in the water. Lovely shot. Thank you for sharing. :)

I am glad you like it, Trisha! Though the scene was bathed in the golden light of the sunset, a light rain fell from clouds overhead making those rings in the water.
