The b/w picture has a totally different feel. Was I right to upload

You were right to take the photo twice. Both are beautiful and quite different.

The B/W seems more timeless to me. All attention goed toward the atmosphere. Nice seen

Since clouds in upper area of sky are less interesting, would suggest raising horizon-line to include more cloud reflections.
