sonneland 0 Posted June 30, 2012 robert, not sure about dead flowers having more character, but most certainly like the flower you have put up to substantiate your opinion. so simple, and for lack of a better word, has character to burn. nice work. Link to comment
wood 1 Posted July 1, 2012 Thanks for your comments. My penchant for dead or dying flowers is not favored at home, but I find them fascinating. Thanks again, Link to comment
sonneland 0 Posted July 2, 2012 robert, your comment made me chuckle, as a few years back now, i also did a series on the wilting and final death of a couple arum lilies. my wife kept wanting to throw them out and put something a bit more vibrant in the vase. i kept saying no leave them, she also had a hard time with my desire to work with the dead or dieing. women eh! Margo_Wade11664880111 0 Posted July 2, 2012 As I have a tendency to become absorbed in things like photography and grandchildren at the expense of the finer points of housework, I often have vases of dead flowers in my house. Your assertion that dead flowers are more interesting is thus most appealing - I plan to use it as a defence next time anyone questions my housekeeping! Seriously, though, I like this image very much - great shapes, textures and colours. Well done. Link to comment
