lisa_m._holley 0 Posted July 20, 2003 We had just come across the Tennessee River heading into Fort Payne, and I wanted to stop and look back at this bridge. I took this picture just for the fun of it, but I thought it had an interesting look to it once I got it onto my computer. Ideas, suggestions would be appreciated. Link to comment
michael_ward1 0 Posted July 20, 2003 wow i wish i could bend space too! Looks like space (or something) was seriously bent when that line was painted. This is a fascinating picture, what with the one way, different colored surface of the old bridge, and the new bridge over to the right, presumably for traffic going the other direction, and all the tall thin towers and the tire skid marks and all that jazz. There's a lot here in that simple composition. Good capture, good eye. Link to comment
fred_j._lord 0 Posted July 20, 2003 That's why it's not straight. Can you imagine the monotony of striping highways? I suspect a lot of them are zoned out and running on fumes after a while. This image has a lot going for it in that the subject, perspective and lighting are unusual and interesting. By the way, if it were centered, would the line be straight? It's a new look at something we usually don't notice. Keep 'em coming Lisa. Link to comment
jim schwaiger 0 Posted July 21, 2003 Get out of the road! Oh wait, you were in a car going the other way weren't you? What's wrong here? All the stripes in Alabama look about like this, heh heh. Link to comment
