No, not a distraction - in my opinion the dark parts of the photo are required to put the brighter part in perspective. - Good work!!^^

Agree to Bernd - both upper dark thin rectangle and lower left triangle add a dimension of "areas" to the otherwise dominating lines. An impressive photo that stands out from many similar ones.
