Not technically a very good photo, but I loved the way these two

pelicans were staring in the same direction.

Advice and or comments would be welcome.

Thanks. Louise

I think you caught a very cool moment - on my monitor it looks a bit oversharpened but nevertheless a special shot.

Hi Philip

Thanks for your observations. I am having trouble with my monitor at the moment, I don't seem to see what others do! and I've just had my eyes checked out A OK!

This is a great image here. I see nothing technically wrong either.

I like the composition of the Pelicans being off-centre and having the space to look into the image. The pose of these two is very good, and you have done well to capture it. The plumage is well-defined, and you have obviously noticed the black feathers on one versus the brown on the other........ the "whites" are well-captured.

The perception of "over-sharpening" can be apportioned to the level of calibration of ones monitor.... on mine, I see the occasional bright white ripple in the water that could easily be dubbed down or even removed. In terms of the subject matter, they are spot on.

Well done........ definately a keeper.

Best Regards

Louise,

I love this composition and title! And, the fine details in their darker feathers along their backs.

I won't yet commit to a favorite from your gallery but, this one would be in the top 1% somewhere I think.

Regards always,

Jim j.
