Just got back from leading a week-long Sierra Club backpack in

these mountains, one of the lower 48's least-known and least

visited ranges. This image was made near sunset, during the

clearing of one of several rain squalls that visited that night.

Great high desert mountain shot. I really like the clouds and the composition.

John, looks like you lucked out with some glorious clouds. I'm sure they are a rare commodity in these mountains in the summer months, so your timing was fortuitous! Great shot from top to bottom!
