Somehow I like this rather subdued tone very attractive. The lamps do the magic. Just wondering if cropping the sky a bit more  - upto the top of the tallest tree would have made it more focused. Bestwishes.

Pat - thanks.

Jayanti - thanks for your insights. My thoughts were that the additional sky gave the image room to breath to coin a term from a comment I saw here at PN. I am not sure if it was Alberta P who mentioned to me that one should leave enough room for matting if the image would ever be framed. If that would be the case then the matting would eliminate the amount of sky that I might crop.

All the very best,

This looks like a lovely spot to visit Tony. While it seems overcast, it somehow adds a unique atmosphere to the image. I think I will search this Maison Melacon, as I am very intriguied about it's history. Such a beautiful stone home. The Lamposts add a 'welcoming warmth' to the image. Very nice work Tony.

Great capture of a lovely site.  The foggy surroundings make it "mistycal" and enchanting.

A very nice and moody shot. You might consider trying to pull the lights on the posts down a little, they are grabbing a lot of attention in the shot.I like the hazy/foggy atmosphere that you have captured. - Charles

Thanks - glad you liked it and you have pointed out that the lamp lights add a touch of warmth. All the very best.

Patsy - I am happy to share. I took quite a number of these misty shots on that morning since fog is very infrequent in my area.

Charles - thanks for your comment. I will darken the lights on the left side of the image.

Hi Tony, Fantastic capture. The mist adds a beautiful soothing effect. Love those garden lights as well.

Thanks,

Harsha.

Harsha - thanks.  I took a few at that time and here is another one. It eliminates the bright lights mentioned by Charles but does it introduce a negative aesthetic value with the tree trunk. Which one do you prefer?

Hi Tony, would go with the original post. The lights highlight the path to the house and I did not find it disturbing.

Thanks,

Harsha.
