This is an old automobile factory. Now part of it houses a number of

other businesses and the other part of it is in ruins or disrepair. It's a

neat old building. I took the photo at dusk.

Nice architecture shot, I love the sense of history. I also found myself looking at the reflections in the mirror trying to figure out what I was seeing.

Dan we have a place in Brisbane that has similar old buildings, they were once Wool stores, they housed the wool ready for the ships to pick it up for export, Similar window shapes and brick construction. They are now apartments

To that end i can relate to this image, I think you have given it a treatment that works and emphasizes the old world feel. The contrast that allows the sign to dominate is good, gives context and history.

Well done

Thanks everyone!  I'm pretty pleased with how the shot came out.  I need to go around to the back of the building and shoot it.  That's the part of the factory that is actually crumbling and in serious disrepair.  I think it would be rather interesting.  I gotta get someone to go with me though.  It's in a bit of a rough part of town and it is probably not the smartest idea to wander around alone with camera equipment. Haha!

Also, directly across the street is an empty lot, then some more buildings an urban renewal housing development beond that.  Down just a stone's throw to the left is another of the buildings that comprised this factory.

In this building is a fitness gym, a candy store and the nashville location for Antique Archaeology (the show on the History Channel called "American Pickers")

I absolutely love this photograph. Well done, Dan! I enjoy the reflection in the windows and how crisp the clouds look in the reflections. I like the grey sky, but it is a bit distracting since the sky is blue in the window reflections. I like how the building on the left side of the shot becomes taller and proves a bit of a framing. The touch of red on the tower above is also gorgeous, without causing too much distraction.
