Transit of Venus 2012

Really cobbled some things together to get this: most of my lenses tend

towards the wider end, but grabbed my 85mm threw a polarizing filter on

and then held a welder's lens in front of that...of course it clouded up just

before the transit started and I ended up driving to a field to get the sun

breaking through the clouds about 20 minutes before sunset.

Of all the transit of Venus photos I've seen, this is the best. Very nice!

I think the clouds make it more intersting.  I also started to think about the Pac-Man arcade game from 80's.
