davidmccracken 2 Posted July 3, 2003 I am commenting on this photo before looking at your others. When I first saw this picture, I thought the two girls were twins. It is such a pleasing photograph that it really isn't fair to critique it. My only minor complaint is the post on the left. Cropping it such that it equalled the post on the right would have been good. Also, to make it absolutely symmetrical, you would have needed to position yourself a few centimetres to the right. I am being a little too hard on this image. It is wonderful. Please feel free to rate / comment on / critique any of my photos. Link to comment
carol_watson 0 Posted July 3, 2003 This is a great photo. The wind in their hair, the sea in the distance framed nicely with the white railing. Great composition. I also like the choice of soft sepia toning -- along with their cotton dresses, it gives the picture a vintage feel. You've captured some memories that will live on forever for these two girls. daniel goh 0 Posted July 3, 2003 Lovely composition and toning. I particularly like the mood it potrays. Wonder how it would look with a shallower DOF. Link to comment

bruce_jones3 0 Posted July 4, 2003 This is the kind of theme you can do year after year and in 20 years do a book of these 2 girls. Do this same composition and it will be great. Thanks for sharing. Yes, as the father of daughters, I do love it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 4, 2003 You say: "I rescanned and retoned a bit different. Please tell me wha tyou think. Thanks for looking". Too bad you removed the previous version you uploaded. There were quite somme comments on it and I guess most people don't feel like repeating themselves... Link to comment
toshio 8 Posted July 8, 2003 Nice! Square format works perfectly here. So does sepia tone. It is also sensuous in very clean way. Definitely the best image of the series. Link to comment
jeff d 1 Posted July 13, 2003 This has POW written all over it. Ignore the comments that try to make you change to make it symmetrical. Nature is not always symmetrical, so why should this image be so? I love the warmth this conveys. You captured a magical moment. Innocence, carefree days of youth... just wonderful! 7/7 Link to comment
