Dear Radu,

Thank you for your comment and effect you did on this photo. I did have a look at it and indeed it does look great but, we did indeed have cloudy days as well as snowstorms for 2 solid days. Winds at 145km's/hour. We even encountered a sandstorm on our 2nd day on the plains, storm was so bad that 1 hour after us passing through the storm the road was closed till the next day. People were surprised that we even drove through the storm with the winds being so strong.....we are South Africans and tough so nothing really scares us hehe.

Anyway, I just wanted people to see what I saw through my eyes at the time. I am however going to use this same image and maybe just lighten.

Thanks again and warm Regards

J

Where the heck were you? For an ou Tannie, jy kan maar rondloop....!

This is a lovely, although bleak, image and I see what Radu sees in terms of the foreground......... the mountains and sky are magnificent.... yet I also appreciate that you present to us what you actually saw.... and I accept that.

Thanks for the lovely response story to Radu's comment.

Best regards

Hallo Grayham,

You can say ou tannie again hehehe...felt like one after our trip to both Iceland and Ireland. Phew, Iceland was an experience which I will certainly do again if my hubby said let's go. Like this capture, one minute you would get a teeny weeny ray of sun and in a second it would be gone. We did have complete cloud coverage for 3 solid days with snow storms in which we the tourists were driving around in and I thought would last the whole 7 days we were there. Luckily, the weather changed a bit in our favour afterwards. Iceland, what an amazing country with the most awesome landscapes that took my breath away many a times. Oh, as well as all the geysers all over the place with steam coming out of them. I took hundreds of photos and am busy working on some which I will be loading in the folder soon. Been thinking of actually loading it at home and bringing it to the office and when I do get a chance work on them at the office. Ok, will let you know when I load the next lot.

Thank you so much for your always welcome visit and speak again soon.

Warmest Regards from a very, very, very cold South Africa at present.

J
