mtmixon 0 Posted June 3, 2012 A wonderful photo. Compositionally, the leading line of the cracked earth and the positioning of the cathedral in the upper right third are solid choices, and the the cracks of the earth add a nice bit of contrast. The blue tones produce a serene effect, and are nicely balanced by the warmth of the light on the cathedral. Just a gorgeous shot all around. Link to comment

Bachir 0 Posted June 4, 2012 Kah,Top mark for originality and technical skill. The St Michel Mount is such fantastic location and billions of photos already taken but how different can one take it and that's demanding a tough creative task!. I think you've succeeded and cracked it with this DOF of cracked earth, giving it like a distant electric feel. The blue cast and the reflection add something extra. Well done and best wishes, Bachir Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted June 5, 2012 An iconic scene captured very well and with a great sense of depth.I love the blue and these days one has to create an image that is distinctive especially when it is an icon. I might have done a small amount of saturation in the yellow and red channels to give the castle a warmer appearance but that is just a matter of personal taste. All the best and keep up the excellent work you are doing. Link to comment
WJBrowning 0 Posted June 5, 2012 A very original take on this well shot scene, the blues go so well with the stillness of the water. Composition and exposure wise it gets a perfect 7 from me. I like the tungsten lighting tone on the building as it gives it a coldness that goes with the rest of the blues. Well done William Link to comment
