Very unusual, very interesting. Still sorting out my thoughts on this photo, but one thing for sure, it got my attention.

 

I suppose the PS treatment of the eye could be dismissed as gimmicky, but it works for me. It's weirdly subtle, and subtly weird.  I like the darkness & the shallow depth of field.  

 

Personally, I think a little cropping at top & right would make for an even stronger presentation. When I'm on my desktop I'll send you arevision.
