zolt 0 Posted July 6, 2003 I always think of these spring flowers (leucojum) as being rather modest and demure, though they can put on quite a show when thay bloom in their usual abundance. The color is certainly muted but I think emphasizes the graceful form and soft texture. The photo challenge was the common close-up concern of isolating the main subject without a distracting background and achieving a compromise depth of field to keep everything of interest in focus while blurring the background enough. The natural softbox of overcast daylight provided nice even illumination. Link to comment

arashdejkam 0 Posted July 7, 2003 Photos of flowers rarely attracts me (I don't find anything new in them) but this one...There is nothing in this image to disturb my sight, great composition and harmony in colors, resting for the eye, I'm kinda in love with this photo :) simply perfect.
