walter,  your image sits within the frame like a well worn glove. definition is very nice,  as is the well thought out composition which suits a sq format rather nicely.  a pleasure to view!

Beautiful shot. The arrangement of the leaves and its flowers and also pov are wonderful. Congrats!

Well done!

Thank you gentlemen! I thought the square would work better with this one  rather than the original 6x7.

walter,  have came back for another view.  this image has the best definition of any image i have seen here in the flower section for just ages.  checked out the gear you used and it explains a lot. i seldom bother to rate images anymore but this one i did,  i was hasty with a six and part of reason came for a second view was to adjust that rating to a 7,  unfortunately the system will no longer allow me to change that rating.  its a real pleasure when one finds work of this quality.  thank you for sharing!

Thanks Roger, no prob about the rating. This one turned out better than I thought. I also shot a 4x5 chrome with my old Graflex and an APO Symmar 210. Now talk about clarity! The problem is, however, that I can only scan up to 6x9 at home, so the 4x5 will need to go out of house.  Probably to West Coast Imaging next time they have a sale.

BTW, about the only thing that I do not like about this is that some of the leaves have whitish deposits of something on them. Not too noticeable but I would have preferred a cleaner look.  Regards.

Thank you Gianluigi! As a fellow 6x7 shooter I thought you would like this one. Regards.

Walter, Lovely image. Glad to see the square on this. It's a good reference for these arrangements. I think the greens are great. I hadn't thought of the white substance until you mentioned it, but Maybe its the wet look that you are wishing for.

Thanks Don. I just ordered a 22x22 inch Chromira print on Supergloss; we'll see how it looks.  Regards.

That's a beauty Walter!  Lily of the Valley are my favorite (we have a patch in our backyard).  The triangular ferns add a pleasant design.  The are even some abstractions for the curious observer..

Thank you sir! I didn't have far to travel on this one...shot it in my backyard. I made a 22"x22" Chromira print on Fuji Supergloss; it turned out very well (if I may so).  I'm now looking for a nice mat and frame. Should make a nice print to hang in the early summer. Regards.

So beautiful. Seldom do I see such lush colours in photography, these days.
