The composition is fine and the background has been nicely thrown out. The lighting is too harsh and the image is too contrasty.

There is a vertical line of shadow near the center- that is the only part of the lighting that i would call harsh. Altogether, though, a well-done shot.

 

I've noticed that the majority of the macro flower shots on here tend to have the background darkened or gone- as a matter of preference, I like to see the backgrounds on flower shots.
